Time based high school lesson
Time needs to be a consideration for all artists. How does our work age? What historical context was a work of art made in? This lesson challenges students to examine the historical context and chronological evolution of artworks, and to synthesize an artwork that incorporates time.
High School Symbolism
My practice is very focused on student choice. Throughout a given semester, students are encouraged to experiment with media and subject matter. This leads to a number of symbolically significant works across several sections. This section puts symbolism at the forefront of the lesson and allows students to take the skills they have learned in other section in order to create a deliberately symbolic artwork.

3rd grade experimental drawing
This lesson challenges students to consider narrative and experimentation in their drawing practice. Students in this lesson used a wide variety of materials and techniques to expand their schema for a drawing.
Collaborative art installation part 1
This lesson was a collaborative project across two grade levels. This first component challenged the 3rd grade class to experiment with materials and create mixed media sculptures/objects. The second half will see the 7th grade class further manipulate these elements into an installation or sculpture.
Collaborative art installation part 2
This is the second half of a collaborative project across two grade levels. This first component challenged the 3rd grade class to experiment with materials and create mixed media sculptures/objects.
This second potion challenged the 7th grade class to further manipulate these elements into an installation or sculpture.
